Whatever your group is doing, from producing a newsletter to putting on a funday, from organising an AGM to running a sports club, the Resource Centre has a service designed to make things easier for you:
Christmas opening times
Our services will be open and running as below until 4pm Tuesday 21st December. We will then be closed for a couple of weeks, and will reopen on Tuesday 4th January 2022.
Our current services
Due to the continuing Covid situation, we are still operating with a reduced number of staff in the Centre, but gradually expanding the services we are able to offer. The support we can give your group at the moment is:
Equipment hire
Our equipment hire service is now open again for groups in Brighton & Hove. Equipment can be booked in advance by phone or email, or by submitting a booking request via our itemised equipment pages.
Equipment collection and returns are currently available on Mondays and Fridays. There is a maximum limit of 8 items per group (except for member groups), and specified collection/return times will be allocated to help keep us all safe.
Printing
- We are still closed for DIY printing options for groups, but we are running a printing service for groups instead.
- If you need printing done, send us your artwork by email and we will print for you and arrange a time for you to collect from the doorstep. We will not be making an additional labour charge for this service.
- When collecting printing, please wear a mask, and ring our doorbell to let us know you have arrived. We will wear masks when bringing your printing outside – please step back from the door to enable this.
Services by phone and email
We are available for telephone and email enquiries between 9am and 4pm, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Information for groups
We have new and regularly updated information sheets on:
- Covid-19 risk assessments
- Organising online activities and events
- Video and telephone meeting tools
- Hybrid meetings (in person and online)
- Managing funds for short-lived crisis-response groups
- Quick tasks for treasurers during the pandemic
- Grant funding available for activities or losses related to the Covid-19 crisis
If you’re looking for help around the coronavirus, need to signpost or refer people to the right support in the city, go to: Covid Brighton & Hove (compiled by Trust for Developing Communities and Community Works)
Support for member groups
We are continuing to offer support services for our member groups:
- One-to-one support sessions can now be done by phone or video. From 7th June, we will be able to offer pre-booked one-to-one sessions in person at the Centre. We will work with each group in the way that is best for you, while keeping us all safe.
- To bring in paperwork for an examination of accounts, please contact us by email or phone to arrange a time to drop things off at the doorstep, or an alternative way to get the information to us.
Review
We will be reviewing all of this regularly and will issue further updates on our website and via social media if it changes.
Best wishes from the Resource Centre team
