Community Works are running a free training course for small groups (inclome under £35,000) on attracting funding for health activities.
Lots of the activities small groups run make people feel better. Funders are interested in this, and want to hear more. But often the language of funding can be confusing.
Funders often talk in terms of ‘outcomes and impact’ but what does this mean for a small group? How can you measure and then start talking about your work to make it more attractive to funders and what can you do to improve your chances of meeting funders’ requirements?
This workshop is the opportunity to explore these questions and will:
- help you project plan and evaluate your healthy activities
- help you involve volunteers and beneficiaries in evaluation
- help you identify where else to get further funding
This training is for groups:
- in Brighton and Hove
- with an income of under £35,000 who are receiving a grant through the Community Health Fund or who are delivering health and wellbeing activities
They will prioritise places for groups whose health and well-being activities support LGBT people, younger people or older people in physical activity, arts, heritage, culture, food and nutrition, inter-generational work.
