Aimed at social enterprises in their early stages or those coming to the end of their funding and looking at becoming self-financing. Many social enterprises need to act like businesses if they are to become financially sustainable. Feel more confident managing finances as a business to ensure success and longevity. Suitable for those with or without experience of managing finances.
The aim of this workshop is to:
- demystify financial jargon that may be holding you back
- show you tools to use to evaluate the financial impact of projects and opportunities
- show you key indicators to monitor – a financial health check
- give you three changes to implement to become more financially sustainable

Marketing matters for social enterprises
Whether you already have an existing social enterprise, run a local charity or community group and want to generate more income from trading goods or services to make yourself less reliant on funding, this is for you.
The aim is to:
- focus on marketing and profile raising
- hear from successful local social enterprises and social entrepreneurs
- learn about the Three M’s of marketing: Market, Message and Medium
- leave with a one-page marketing plan to implement the next day
This two-hour workshop will be a mix of presentation, case studies, storytelling and group work and will end with an interactive Q&A session with a local social entrepreneur.
