Aims of Fund
To address disadvantage by supporting community organisations working in areas which are less likely to raise funds elsewhere.
Who can apply
Community based charities, and community organisations with charitable purposes. Grants are rarely given to well funded national charities.
How much and what can you apply for
The trust have a preference for giving grants towards general core costs.
Their current priorities are::
- Homelessness
- Penal Affairs
- Asylum seekers and refugees
- Community based initiatives for disadvantaged young people aged 16-25
On average grants are around £5,000.

Deadlines for application
Applications are accepted at any time, and are assessed at trustee meetings. Trustees usually meet 3 times a year and the date you need to have submitted your application by for the next trustee meeting is published on the Hilden Charitable Fund website.
Next submission date is yet to be announced. Expected to be March or April 2022.
